What can I do in the door designer?
The easiest way to discover what you can do in our door designer is to check it out for yourself. But to give you some idea, you can fully customise any of our Rockdoors by choosing any of our available colours for both inside and outside of your door. You can also select a range of colours for your door frame too, to ensure it matches your new or existing windows.
Not only that, but you can choose from a range of glass designs and textures, along with a variety of door handles to complement your new door. You can also add additional frames to the top and side of your door along the door hinge sides and opening direction.
So in short, what can’t you do in the door designer? Our Rockdoor composite door designer allows you to not only design a door that looks great, but one that exceeds all of your requirements too.
Is it easy to design a custom door with the door designer?
Yes, it is! The door designer will guide you through the options to help you design and customise any one of our Rockdoor composite doors. All you need to do is pick and choose a pre-made door design and then further customise it to suit your own home and style. The options available include door colours, frame colours, door furniture and a whole lot of other options to ensure you get the style that fits exactly what you’re looking for.

What are custom composite doors?
We know there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to your composite door, which is why you can personalise every aspect of your Rockdoor. Our custom front doors and back doors can be modified to suit your own style and taste, including the door and frame colours, door handle styles, glass styles and door furniture. It’s no wonder our custom external doors are the best in UK.
What can I do when I finish designing my new door?
Once you have finished designing your door, you will then be given the option to “Get a quote”. You can request this from any of your local Rockdoor trusted installers by entering the postcode of the property where you wish your new door to be fitted.
Your chosen door installer will be happy to discuss the various possibilities for your new door as well as the pricing options for the fitting of your new door.
Where are your custom-made doors manufactured?
Each and every one of our custom external doors are manufactured at our in-house production facility in the UK. This ensures that your custom front door and back door meet the highest quality standard. Not only this, but all of our custom made front doors and back doors are quality checked and approved by our team before they leave our factory.
Do I need to download any software to use the door designer?
No, you don’t need to install any software as everything is done directly on our website in your browser. You can access our door designer using any device, whether it’s a Windows or Apple computer, a tablet or a mobile device.
Which operating systems or devices will it work on?
Our door designer tool should work on all computers and devices and has been tested and found to work in most modern web browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
Other web browsers should also work, however, if the purple banner and Rockdoor logo have not displayed correctly and the “Loading” message has not fully loaded within 1 minute of accessing the page, we recommend refreshing the page or switching to a different web browser or device and try again.
I clicked on the “Design your door” button, but nothing appears to be happening?
Since there is no software for you to download and install, this does mean that the information required to run our door designer in your browser can take a little longer to run. Depending on your Internet connection, this can range from a few seconds for faster connections, through to 30-60 seconds for slower connections, such as when you’re using mobile data without Wi-Fi.
So long as you see the purple banner and Rockdoor logo at the top of your screen and the “Loading” message in the centre of the screen, the door designer tool will be loading in the background. If you cannot see the “Loading” message and nothing has loaded within 1 minute of accessing the page, we recommend refreshing the page or switching to a different web browser or device and try again.
